CEO and Publisher
Jan Moberg is a computer engineer by trade and also holds an MBA in finance. He joined TU Media in October 2009, taking over TU.no as CEO and publisher. The job: turn around a company in distress with minimal impact in the digital environment. Prior to TU, Jan was amongst others CEO of Edda Media (with 30 regional newspapers and websites in Norway), Director of Internet at Telenor Internet (where he also oversaw digital content strategy and was Telenor’s board member in Scandinavia Online). He has been involved in numerous M&A operations in TU Media, Edda, Orkla Media and Telenor. Last but not least, Jan was also a business journalist for several years (1989-1996) at Norway’s premier finance magazine, Kapital.
TU.no is part of the TU Media group. It started in 1854 as the printed Polytechnical Journal in Norway and later changed its name to Technology Weekly (Teknisk Ukeblad). The brand has always been a high-trust brand and to this day ranks high among all media in Norway. By 2009 the Internet had the brand on its knees, but today it is on strong footing again thanks to smart change management, placing of the Internet and “excellent and relevant content" at its centre and developing a strong multichannel proposition.
